An Administrative Unit which supports and promotes Academic excellence by offering efficient and quality services to AU's academic body.

 MISSION

  1. To provide quality service in supporting the academic units in producing quality graduates.
  2. To provide quality service in supporting the faculty members in their academic and professional development..

 Strategic Goals:

  1. To support AU's academic units in strengthening the curricula and the teaching and learning processes.
  2. To support the faculty members in producing academic works and in providing academic services to the community.
  3. To serve the academic units, the faculty members and the external institutions as center for academic data and information.
  4. To develop the Office personnel academically, professionally and spiritually.

 Strategic Objectives for Goal 1:

     1.1 Coordinate and facilitate the academic units in creating standard and update curricula.
     1.2 Coordinate and assist the academic units in strengthening their teaching and learning process.

  • Strategies for Strategic Objective 1.1:
1.1.1 Set up and monitor the curriculum development system and procedures.
1.1.2 Provide guidance and related information on curriculum development procedures.
1.1.3 Publish manuals/guidelines related to curriculum development activities.
1.1.4 Inspect all curriculum documents in accordance with the CHE's curriculum criteria and regulations.
1.1.5 Coordinate with all curriculum related committees.

  • Strategies for Strategic Objective 1.2:
1.2.1 Monitor the procedures set for the examination papers and grades approval.
1.2.2 Follow up the proctoring performance.
1.2.3 Provide assistance to the students in need of study guidance and advice, late examination and tutorial class.
1.2.4 Coordinate and assist the academic units in enforcing the students' learning discipline and good conduct.
1.2.5 Support and facilitate academic and student activities.

     2.1 Facilitate the faculty members in producing academic works.
     2.2 Facilitate the faculty members in applying for support grants, academic titles or other types of support and recognition.
     2.3 Facilitate the faculty members in participating in seminars/conferences/ workshops.
     2.4 Facilitate the faculty members in providing academic services to the community.

  • Strategies for Strategic Objective 2.1:
2.1.1 Guide and assist the faculty members in producing academic works.
2.1.2 Publish manuals/guidelines related to academic works.
2.1.3 Coordinate with all committees related to academic works.

  • Strategies for Strategic Objective 2.2:
2.2.1 Guide and assist the faculty members in applying for support grants, academic titles or other types of support and recognition.
2.2.2 Coordinate with all committees related to academic title appointment, support grants or other types of support and recognition.
2.2.3 Coordinate with all readers/reviewers of academic works.

  • Strategies for Strategic Objective 2.3:
2.3.1 Disseminate information about seminars, conferences or workshops which the faculty members may attend.
2.3.2 Assist the faculty members in obtaining approvals and supports.

  • Strategies for Strategic Objective 2.4:
2.4.1 Assist the faculty members in obtaining approvals and supports.
2.4.2 Coordinate with the units concerned and the organizers, both inside and outside the university.

     3.1 Update the database of the curricula, the faculty members and the academic works.
     3.2 Disseminate information pertaining to the curricula, the faculty members and the academic works.

3.2.1 Publish a compilation of the faculty members' academic works of each academic year.

4.1.1 Send the Office personnel to participate in seminars/conferences/workshops relevant to their respective duties and responsibilities.
4.1.2 Organize on-the-job trainings relevant to their respective duties and responsibilities.

4.2.1 Encourage the Office personnel to participate in various activities, both on and off campus.
4.2.2 Organize special activities for the Office personnel to contribute to the community.
